State of the Characters Meme

We had eight new characters join us this time around! Please make sure you update your journal lists here. Also, don't forget that the classes meme exists!

Also, please welcome Daniel Jackson, Ianto Jones, Megan Gwynn, Nicholas Gleason, Paul Roberts, Toby Daye, Topher Brink, and Tybalt.

In the meantime, feel free to update us on your character's status! This one's laid back and open-ended. Completely voluntary, as usual.

Name: Conner Kent

Current state of mind: Surprisingly decent, really. He found out what, exactly, Tim had to do to bring him back, which--yes, he found it super sketchy. But he's mostly just processing that as evidence that Tim needs him around to keep him on the light side of sketch in future. >.>

He likes the school, he likes the training groups (because Tim), he's screwing his bff at laaaaaaaaaaast, and he just figured out how to carry pie (and Tim!) while superspeed flying. Stuff's pretty cool, and it's good to be alive.

Places likely to be found: Outside flying around. (Soon in the garden, come onnnnn spring!), in the gym playing any kind of sport ever, in the kitchen eating all the food at off hours, wherever there's a party (or Tim. Did he mention Tim? Because Tim).

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): I'm gonna let him recover a little, but he's going to be pretty fucked up as the story of what happened to Illyana and Nico came out, and will probably start poking around about what they can DO to prevent this kind of bullshit in the future.

Also, Lois and Clark will get married this spring, so that's fun!

I'm pretty sure we need to do something with Kon and Molly sometime.

Name: Harry Osborn

Current state of mind: Determined. His most recent text exchange with Tony refers to him going to Oscorp's muckety mucks and informing them that if they don't shut down the weaponized body armor joint venture with Stark Industries, he will go public with everything. Tony blowing up his own factories (even if they don't KNOW it's Tony...) has them running scared, and the press rabid, so yeah. (Anyone wondering what all the Oscorp madness is about, I fixed up the Oscorp page here to make things clear!)

Otherwise, welp, still dying. But Alice handled it extremely well when she found out he was sick, and they're having a good time with the whole open-yet-still-kinda-a-relationship thing, so he's just trying to get every ounce of good feeling he can from the world.

Also, he honestly does love his new apartment. He was getting sick of living in hotels on weekends, and he refuses to set foot in his father's house any more than he absolutely must.

Places likely to be found: On weekends, he's in his penthouse in Chelsea, since it's the best way to keep things under his own watchful eye at Oscorp. As Norman's health dwindles, that becomes more and more important to him. He can also be found at the Oscorp building in town fairly often, as he likes to remind them he's not losing interest. Ever.

When at Xavier's during the week, he can sometimes be found in the music room at the piano, reading in the library or his and Vance's room, or generally shooting the shit with Peter, Alice, or anyone else he considers a friend.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): WELL he's about to get some fall-out, since him unceremoniously demanding the shut down of a huge section of Special Projects is gonna piss of more than just Oscorp's board. (Sorry, Tony >.>)

He's going to need to enact a final cleanup of Oscorp's mainframe, however, once Tony's end of the body armor plot is taken care if via Avengers, so he'll need his minion and several others to rally round. I think he's going to talk to Peter about it first, but more on that soon!

Illyana is, of course, ALWAYS up for minion-ing! Because Harry LIKES her when she's evil! <3

Doug is...always up for anything that involves computers, if Harry needs tech help. :)

Caius is available for mischief, of course and also for dates. Shopping first, yes?

Name: Inara

Current state of mind: Coping. She's slowly coming to terms with the notion that her life is more than half over and gathering herself to push forward with what she has to work with.

Places likely to be found: Her dorm, the sun room, music room, and stables.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Inara will probably be leaving the school this summer to pursue her higher education; she loves it at the school but the idea of standing still becomes more terrifying as time passes. She'll visit frequently both to see her friends and for medical treatment.

Name: Lil

Current state of mind: Just admitted to herself she's in love - and is currently freaking out about it. Otherwise, she's good if not lost on what to do with her future.

Places likely to be found: Gym. Her room. Kitchen. Cafeteria. Stables. Rec room.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): At this point, anything! I'd love for her to mentor more of the kids - going into full momma bear mode. She loves her baby bricks.

Also, if anyone is ever doing a powers loss plot, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include Lil!

Name: Cersei

Current state of mind: Bored, mostly. She misses Jaime, misses Lucrezia... misses screwing with people's minds. She's lonely but won't admit it.

Places likely to be found: Her room. The library. Outside in the clearing. The stables. In the city (shopping). The HFC.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Anything. Girl needs more minions... and maybe even a friend or two. No plots on the horizon.

DO we wanna follow up with Jamie or Sirius? There was a question mark over Bucky but with the time that's past I assume that's gone ;)

Name: Jubilee

Current state of mind: Still thinking the school is a totally rocking place! She's in love with life and the fact she's a mutant.

Places likely to be found: Anywhere there is food or fun. Rec room.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Meet more of the cool cats she's loving with. Maybe explode some stuff.

Name: Vance Astrovik (Justice)

Current state of mind: He's really displeased with what happened to Nico and Illyana. He's hiding it all quite well, though, and is coping by focusing on moving forward.

Places likely to be found: His room, Yana's room, the DR, the gym, the grounds, classrooms, the rec room...anywhere, really!

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Vance is joining JVX, so that's his biggest upcoming development. I'd like to get him logging with more of the Avengers folks, if any of you all have any interest.

He's first on Pietro's Recruitment List, once things get swinging :D

Name: Dana Scully (Starbuck)

Current state of mind: She's not entirely thrilled with what's going on in the outside world, but she is fairly pleased with her life at present.

Places likely to be found: Her room, the labs downstairs, the infirmary, classrooms, the gym, the range, and soon Oscorp tower.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Dana will be accepting an offer from Harry Osborn to continue the research she started with Lydia over at Oscorp. This new association with Harry may or may not lead to some bad decisionmaking on Dana's part. Other than that, I'm excited to get her more involved with X-Factor. She's been kind of pulling back, hurt by Mulder leaving primarily, so I'm hoping to get her logging with more people again now that she's letting that go.

Name: Scott Summers (Cyclops)

Current state of mind: Scott is, for once, in a fairly solid state of mind. He's getting more accustomed to his role as security staff and as the usual field leader of the-group-he-refuses-to-call-LXQ. Lydia agreeing to move in with him has increased his sense of security in their relationship by leaps and bounds, though he's not entirely sure she'll be willing to stay at the school forever.

Places likely to be found: His and Lydia's room, the gym, the DR, the War Room, the pool, or walking the grounds with Lydia's dog, Prada. He says if the beast is wearing a sweater, it's because Prada put it on himself.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Anything and everything having to do with LXQ are things I'm interested in, for him. The more he works on and with LXQ, the more Cyclops he shall become. Otherwise, there's some new folks he hasn't logged with yet, so I'm totally down for that.

Name: Brian Braddock (Britannic)

Current state of mind: He's making excellent progress in his work, which pleases him a great deal. His relationship with Lil, and his emotions around it, still confuse him, which does not please him at all.

Places likely to be found: His and Lil's room, his lab, Columbia University (using their lab facilities), the physics classroom

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): I have a couple plot thoughts, though they naturally require both Betsy and Mod approval, so they're more in the formation stages than anything else. Regardless, at the end of this year, he will be headed back to England to finish out his education.

Name: Mortimer Toynbee (Toad)

Current state of mind: He's in a fairly good place. He likes working at the Thrifty Puppy, and for the first time ever he thinks he has a couple friends.

Places likely to be found: His and John's room, out by the lake, the rec room, the Thrifty Puppy

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): I'm open to pretty much anything with him. He kind of got left behind as my others got things to do, so he has some catching up he needs to do!

Name: Ianto Jones

Current state of mind: Off-balance, not sure how to fit in but liking everyone he's met so far. Desperately wanting to make a good impression!

Places likely to be found: His room, the library, the kitchen, following Daniel around...

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Mostly just get him meeting people! And working on his power - he'll be working with his squad to try to interact with groups, but of course one-on-one's are important, too! It will help him if he wants to be visible because he knows so many cool people.

Name: Becky Rosen

Current state of mind: Bubbly and excited and pumped up! So happy about her job and finding Quentin. Less happy about things that have happened to Illyana, but she can't do much about that.

Places likely to be found: Her room, rec room, kitchen, stalking Quentin.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Writing more for SHIFT, following Quentin around, helping Illyana get revenge.

Oh! Her birthday is coming up on the 14th, and she's having her first ever birthday party with real friends. It will just be her baking lots of things and setting up sci-fi movies/shows in a rec room. But that's a thing.
