Mostly? He's amused. The school actually seems to be *gasp* a SCHOOL - which is a huge waste of its potential, if you ask him. Most of the students are morons, but hey, he can use that, especially since some of them are potentially going to make good test dummies for the stuff Felix and Damon are teaching him. Oh, and he's got new projects to work on in his new lab, and Claudia...well, she likes him. He knows it.

Now if he can just get Becky to stop stalking him...

Quentin is going to start really working on his powers with an eye towards showing Rankin (and others) just what he's capable of. He's also going to start sorting students out in his head into "potentially useful" and "not even" categories, working on the tech Damon's requested, and impatiently waiting for his college results. Not that he's worried. At all. Okay, yeah, he is, but he won't admit it.

I'd like to see him meet some more people (I've got some things lined up) but warning: Quentin's harder for me to write than the others are, and logs go slower as a result. Apologies in advance!

Current state of mind: For reasons that will have further explaining at some juncture Fraser has been incredibly distracted since Winter Break. He's still outwardly positive and weirdo, but anyone who knows him more deeply might catch that when he's staring off into nothing it's not just another ghost over there. He's looking inward.

Current state of mind: Right this second? Kinda doesn't wanna let go of Doug. Feeling Illyana when she arrived threw her for a spin. She'll be fine by tomorrow, I should say. Well, 'fine'. She'll definitely want to try and be there for them both, because she knows.

Places likely to be found: Doug's lab, her room, Simon and JP's room, stables, woods if she's going to see Laura, dance studio, music room... anywhere but the infirmary, pretty much.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): She has a thing with Simon coming up at some point which will be something of an eye opener in many ways. And also there will be feels. That in turn could lead to more plotty type things. We shall see! Other than that, she just needs to meet the new students. And keep avoiding QQ. ;)

Current state of mind: LOVING LIFE OH MY GOD. She is enjoying the hell out of what is going on with Harry, and Alisha is finally gone and she has her room to herself, she's applied to some PR schools, she's been doing good things with X-statiX, life is good. ...although she's completely fucking crushed for Damon, and is ignoring the fact that she might never be herself again the way he was able to offer her. Denial is not just a river in Egypt, you guys.

Places likely to be found: her room, the dance studio, Lydia's office, Harry's room, any empty room or closet or wherever really with Harry, the gym (it's too cold to go jogging outside, even for her). And things not at school: Harry's apartment, or occasionally Stark Tower to visit P, Shinobi's, Sage's or Damon's to visit them.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): she's about to get a new roommate and I have NO IDEA how that will go, so, fun times ahead! :D Also she'll have to get plotty with Harry re: Oscorp stuff at some point. She's working on a piece with Jamie for the dance show. And that's about it. She is so ready to graduate, you guys.

And then he'll still need to go looking for the asshole who was experimenting on him. Good times ahead! But if anybody wants extra fighting lessons, he's your guy.

Current state of mind: right this second? A little off, because EVERYTHING THAT'S JUST HAPPENED. But he's Cal, he'll repress and bounce back when he allows himself to get some sleep, probably some time tomorrow.

Places likely to be found: the basketball court, the sky, his room, the gym, Angie's room, the medlab, and anywhere and everywhere during classes since he tends to mimic Jamie to attend all the things. The music room too, especially now that he's gonna be a proper rock star.

Current state of mind: Right now, really fucking angry at herself for having been in NYC. But she's proud of the team that went in and got it done. You guys rock. And more generally - she's looking forward to being 18. Because LXQ. (Ugh that name she still loves and hates it.)

Current state of mind: Tentatively optimistic.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): I'd like for him to start opening up to people and meeting some of the "outdoor kids" like Laura and Inu-yasha and them. Eventually, a plot or something like it is going to come up where he's going to be taken to trial for what happened in his history, and it's going to be publicized. So there's the proceedings and fallout from that.

Santo Vaccarro | Rockslide

Current state of mind: AWESOME. Awesome is a state of mind and Santo lives it every day. But more seriously, Santo is pretty freaking optimistic all the time.

Places likely to be found: Gym, cafeteria, pestering Vic, watching Jay like a hawk, and maybe occasionally performing ridiculous feats of strength outside of the school.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Santo needs to learn a bit more about his powers. He hasn't yet learned that he can re-form his entire body yet, and that requires him to be destroyed entirely, which could definitely be done during a plot, if someone had an idea with me. I'm plot hungry, so sue me.

A. John Howlett | Daken

Current state of mind: Pessimistic as all hell. Seriously. John's getting to the point of being really difficult to play, honestly, because of his mindset, but there's nothing really he can do to help himself; John's 99.9% (repeating of course) certain he's destined to become the bad guy, and everything at the school (in his experience) has reinforced this. Which is nobody's fault; it's just that nobody gets John, because he's near-impossible to understand.

Places likely to be found: Gym, X-Factor's offices, X-Factor's gym, his room, outdoors training with Midnighter and Laura.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Honestly, John's getting harder and harder to keep playable with the things I want him to be doing. He already has a seed in his mind for an OM-analogue of X-Force (which isn't good that Daken's coming up with the idea) and/or an OM-analogue of Daken's Brotherhood (and again, not good). John needs to find a niche, and X-Factor is helping with that to some degree, but it's not helping fast enough. Either way, John is not likely long for this school (or maybe even this game), but I do have some plot ideas that may or may not be slightly redeeming for him. Anyone who's interested in these ideas can shoot me an email. HINT: These plot ideas involve Sabretooth and his Marauders (probably not all of them, just the ones who could be easily sold as mutants), and Romulus.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with him, but as other people have discovered, it's hard to play a genuinely violent or sociopathic character in this kind of setting. You have to walk a fine line, or else you have to figure out another role for your character to fill. You might want to talk to Suzene, since we have some ideas coming down the road that might help you.

As far as Laura goes... I think she definitely is going to take off at the end of the year and try to wrap her head around everything on her own. I'm not going to drop her, but will probably pull back from playing her a whole lot until I figure out some things for her.

Pietro Maximoff

Current state of mind: Busy, possibly for the first time in his life. While his transition to publicly known mutant was fast and furious (what isn't, with him?), he was doing really well with it... except for one thing. That one thing being his crazy codependent twin situation. Now that Wanda is gonna go public--in SHIFT, of all places... honestly, shit is kinda perfect in Pietroland.

He has a great apartment, he's gonna go to college for a thing he actually wants to do, he has a hot boyfriend and a cuddly cat (not Sharon, but also Sharon!), Daddy Erik loves him... hey. It's good to be Pietro, right now.

Places likely to be found: ... where is he NOT to be found? It's Pietro. Though he does spend a lot of time in their apartment at the Stark Brownstone, he's also at Xavier's for classes every weekday, at random places in random cities for meetings with potential advertisers, etc etc.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): He just had his big coming out party, and now that he's going to start doing some Avengery stuff, I'll probably just stick to that for the moment! He's basically just getting ready for life outside Xavier's... which is not at all to say he won't be back to poke at people, obviously.

He's always available for SHIFT things, and will want to crow a bit in re an upcoming plot thing, I'm sure.

Current state of mind: Generally very positive. Things are going well, his first ever mission with JVX went pretty well and while, yeah, he's very worried for Nico right now he's mostly in a very good place. Whilst he still has self esteem wobbles they are far fewer and less intense than before and he's much better for it. Niggling crush on Nico aside, he's found himself in a slightly odd situation where they aren't dating but they snuggle a lot and Jay stays the night and he basically fulfills the relation shippy duties that Sirius can't. Intimacy without the dramas.

Places likely to be found: his room, baking in the kitchen, the drama studio, music rooms, being pestered by Santo, danger room training. When it's warmer he's often found out in the grounds playing frisbee, basketball or generally basking.

I haven't got big plans. I'd love to get Victor off the campus a bit more. He's been very hermited for a long time but he's no excuse anymore now that the image inducers have longer times. I don't think he'd yet ready for a proper relationship but the thing with Jay is really building up his confidence so I wouldn't dismiss romance in the future. Beyond that I'm very open to suggestions

Current state of mind: Good and improving day by day. He's in regular therapy, he's working hard to confront his traumas instead of his past of bottling things up and mismanaging. He's working towards join LXQ in the future and generally bettering himself. He's not sure where he wants to be post graduation but he's keeping options open including football, his father's business, LXQ and potentially apply to be another language TA

Bobby got a bit isolated last year, he's doing his best to reverse this so anyone who wants to hang is more than welcome. Jack and Steve J are already lending emotional support and bonding time. Mostly he's moving forward, he's going to fail at regaining his football career but may be ending up with sports gear sponsorship/modelling things. No huge ideas, offers and suggestions very welcome.

Sirius Black

Current state of mind: um...confused? Shell-shocked. He's falling for Jay and in denial about it because he's scared of how vulnerable it'd make him. So he's insisting he just cares about the other boy and they are very much not exclusive, ok? Other than that things are going well got him publicly and business-wise and he's his usually bouncy goofy self with most. Privately he's couple his US schooling with UK exams to apply for Oxford and Cambridge 'the proper way' and so he's stretching himself a little.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up):

Sirius would like to make it clear that he's definitely not in a relationship and definitely free for hook up fun.

Sirius one accepted is going to defer from university for a year to test his other options. He might apply for a teaching position, he's fairly sure he's not got the personality for it though and might just put forward for squad work along with his celeb stuff. He's been modeling a lot and is pondering putting together a modeling project with mutants, possibly if he got enough interest he's pondering becoming a modelling agent helping mutants get into the modeling and fashion world by abusing all of his contacts. Depends on interest, of course.
Also Padfoot is a great therapy dog, for anyone who needs snuggled.
Any suggestions will be welcomed and who knows one day Sirius might be able to settle down and be a boyfriend.

Name: Joshua "Jay" Guthrie

Current state of mind: Jay is still struggling to overcome the damage done to him by trauma in his recent past. He has the benefit of a lot of psychological help, but he's a teenager and he doesn't always listen to his doctors. He's really latched on to Sirius, and things are starting to go a lot better there. I'm pretty sure he's doing a good job of being friendly and well liked around the school (though some of that's going slowly because a lot of the band-related logs have to be done in order).

Places likely to be found: Music room, rec room. Come spring, in a gazebo outside with his guitar. His room, Vic's room, Sirius' room.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Once the band finishes being set up, he's going to do everything he can to make it a happy and successful little family unit. I'd like to explore some ways he can use his accidental new quasi-fame to his advantage. And always if anyone just wants to hang out with Jay, hit me up. He's a very agreeable guy, if you're not plucking at his particular trigger strings.

She's been only growing stronger since getting to this school, though, and she has a couple of friends now. So I'm excited to see how she comes out on the other side.

The events from the past summer and his book signing have left him more shaken than he likes to admit, but he's trying to push forward. He's prepping for college and planning a small bit of rebellion wrt Alpha Flight. He also needs to meet more of the new kids.

Family-wise, there will likely be an incident with Raymonde in the coming months...

Current state of mind: Busy. Between security for the school, classes, helping with some of the PE classes, working with Scott's team when he can squeeze it in, training with Clint, training/giving lessons to a few students... it's feeling stretched a little thin but he has no idea how and where to trim it down.

Social life? What social life? and he's feeling bad about that.

Places likely to be found: His tiny office, Stark's building, the gym, helping with some of the PE classes.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Philip's going to be involved with some of the Avengering (Stark, you are in so so so much trouble), dealing with Mojo and the related rescue, eventually doing things with SHIELD (eventually) and... I forget what else. Reminders are good as I'm finally coming up for air from the work horrorshow of the past few months.

Anything! He has very few logs going or things happening and I'd love to change this! There were loads of plans but there are none now. He might be leaving the game after graduation, don't want to do this and if I can get him kick started and keep him in the game I'd be so happy so, yes, please any/all offers so completely wide open.

Jeanne-Marie

Current state of mind: JM is learning to better balance her college classes and teaching duties at Xavier's (finals were horrible last semester, log in progress!), so she's in a kind of flourishing period. Things feel a little up in the air with Bobby in some ways, and she knows that JP is less comfortable than he pretends, but most of her drama belongs to someone else, for the moment. She's happy with Les X-Quis and moving constantly forward!

Places likely to be found: In the gym, in her room, in the library, in Blaine's room probably :D (those last three are for studying haha!). Also in the languages classroom before and after classes, where she can have open office hours if anyone needs her. She doesn't often eat in the cafeteria, but likes to make an appearance at lunch once a week just to remain accessible.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Eventually, I have some vague ideas about power things, but for the moment I like her balancing act and growing up taking a normal path. She'll of course be hugely affected by anything that goes on with JP, and to a lesser degree with her friends and boyfriend.

In that vein, I still want her to get to know a lot of the students better--especially the girls. While she's finding she can't get through to everyone, that doesn't mean she's given up (not even on you two, John H. and Inu-yasha!). But she would like to.

Name: Lydia Martin

Current state of mind: At once very settled and in a state of flux--just in two different areas of her life. In the backdated plot from Jan, she finally put her past to bed (yay stabbing bad guys!)... but one of her friends got seriously hurt, helping her.

In all other areas she feels renewed in focus and drive. Her life plans have been utterly derailed both by X-statiX and by Scott's surprise suggestion that they should live together, but she's finding she's far more adaptable than she'd previously imagined. And she's okay with that.

Places likely to be found: In her and Scott's rooms, in a sitting room she's effectively seconded as an X-statiX home base (though that might be getting a little more steady now, so I will have to talk to mods to see how much of that she can get away with. Shortly, Prada, her papillion, will be coming to live with her and Scott, so she'll also be seen out walking him regularly... and so will Scott. (If the dog has a sweater on, that was probably Scott, tbh. >.>)

She's also still taking courses at Columbia and, for the moment, TAing math classes, so she can be found on both campuses working. She keeps regular office hours at Xavier's (both for the sake of mathematics and X-statiX), and if no one comes, she just does her own homework. :D

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): In the wake of putting the past to rest, she's looking forward. The current living situation isn't what she wanted--she wanted a nice apartment in town, if not in Manhattan, and a lot more space--but she's willing to try the very agreeable compromise of staying on campus, since it involves two rooms and a dog. We'll see if it suits for very long.

Next school year, Lydia's going to pass on her TA duties to Kitty, so she'll be focusing entirely on X-statiX and her own studies at Columbia. X-statix and Lydia are both always available to forward any of your PR-related or incoming-student plots with connections!

Name: St. John Allerdyce

Current state of mind: Well pleased with himself, really. He's got his first publication under his belt via SHIFT, and he's churning out novels at his usual breakneck pace, now with excellent input from not only his muse, but also his literary soulmate and very noir boyfriend. Also, he's learning what it is to be a Real Boy thanks to said boyfriend, and finding it a surprisingly interesting experience, for something that involves his own life and not someone else's.

Places likely to be found: The library, his and Mort's room, the Thrifty Puppy while he's working, anywhere Bigby is, outside smoking.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Yeah John's going to have some difficulty coming up with a mini Bigby plot shortly, so he gets to blow some shit up. He may also be involved in helping Yana get some revenge, depending. He HOPES SO.

Otherwise this is his senior year, and--let's be honest, he'll just follow Bigby wherever he goes, since we know who the real puppy in this relationship is. He can't wait to turn 18 this summer so he can start scouring for a publisher for his books! For some reason publishers don't seem to want erotic romance authors under 18 :((((
