State of the Characters Meme

We had five new characters and one old player return to us in October! Please welcome back Kat, and make sure you update your journal lists here. Also, don't forget that the classes meme exists!

Also, please welcome Ben, Hazel, Leo, Varric, and Yvaine.

In the meantime, feel free to update us on your character's status. For those new to the meme, this is just an out of character update on what your character is up to, what they have coming up in terms of character development, and anything else you feel like adding. It is completely voluntary and just help people keep up to date if they have missed some logs. Unlike the classes meme, this applies to all characters - not just students.

Name: Damon Salvatore

Age: 20

Significant Other or Crushes:
Love - In love with Lydia Martin from a distance; probably always will be. Currently giving her some space.
Sex - Betsy Braddock on occasion. Would love for it to be more often.
Feeding - Betsy, Eames, and taking sips from pretty much anyone else that touches him.
Interest - Cereza, Cersei, and Dana (even though he wouldn't act on the underage ones...no, he's not that creepy. Okay, maybe he's a little creepy. Never say never...)

Favorite class or hobby: Drinking. Damon's never met a drink he doesn't like. Except maybe water. Or, pretty much anything that doesn't have alcohol.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Snort. Like he has anyone that cares enough about him for that.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Damon is still working on getting the bar on its feet, so he's still looking for anyone that would like to work at Evolution. Also, he's going to be getting involved in a scheme teaching members of the Hellfire Club 'mental shielding', when mostly what he'll be doing is feeding off of them for money. He's kind of a dick. And a little evil.

He may get a cat.

Name: Steve Rogers

Age: 18

Significant Other: Tony Stark

Favorite hobby: Art, and working out.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: He's likely organizing a Thanksgiving at the Brownstone again. Not sure about Christmas, but undoubtedly it'll involve Tony and Sharon.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Steve will be approached by SHIELD soon, so that'll be fun.

Name: Simon Tam

Age: 19 (20 in November)

Significant Other or Crushes: In love with Jean-Paul Beaubier. NOT thinking about marriage yet, though. Despite the fact that they have an apartment in NY together.

Favorite class or hobby: Currently, he's really enjoying his advanced cardiac life support class as well as the lectures on microbiology. Pharmacology is boring and he's acing it without even paying much attention. Clinical medicine is always intriguing, but doesn't challenge him, and pathology is fun, but doesn't spur his interest.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Something with River, JM, and JP, probably.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Simon starts rotations with New York-Presbyterian Hospital in January, which means he'll start splitting his time between Xavier's, the hospital, and Yale, and may be gone a bit more than usual. Between not seeing his boyfriend as much, he'll likely not be seen on campus very much besides when he's treating patients.

Name: Clint Barton

Age: 17 (18 in January)

Significant Other or Crushes: Philip Coulson. At this point, he just wants to be with him every second of the day, so the honeymoon period's still going strong. They're trying to keep it under wraps, but Clint's starting to relax a little in the idea that maybe Coulson isn't going to leave him immediately. Which means maybe it's okay to tell people.

Favorite class or hobby: Archery, duh. Not that that's a class, but still. If his flight lessons count, then those are the classes he loves most.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: I'm not sure about Thanksgiving, but he will probably end up tagging along with Philip to go to his grandparents' house again for Christmas this year.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Clint will be in the news again soon, alongside Pietro. He's also doing some vigilante stuff with Steve, and, oh yeah, the government knows he's a mutant. At least they don't know what he can do yet.

I have some ideas coming up about the Cirque du Nuit coming to town and Clint getting brainwashed by the Ringmaster, but we'll see how that all pans out.

Name: Kitty Pryde

Age: 16

Significant Other or Crushes: Peter Parker...she's so head over heels for that boy.

Favorite class or hobby: Kitty's actually really loving being able to help teach math to students at Xavier's, but she's also absorbing pretty much everything ever at MIT too. Most of it's just all general education classes, which is cool. The best part is just BEING there.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: She'll probably be spending the holidays with her mom, since it's just the two of them now that her dad's moved out.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): I'd like to figure out a plot for the JVX crew, so if anyone has any ideas, poke me!

Name: Felix Harrowgate

Age: 17.833 (he's REALLY anxious to turn 18!)

Significant Other or Crushes:
Devotion - Eames. Being twitterpated with Eames makes it difficult to pursue any other relationships. Eames impersonating Shinobi makes it impossible.
Interest - Dorian, who he'd like to flirt with more. Carlos (unfortunately for Felix!), both smart and beautiful and sort of confusing.
Misses - Remus, quite a bit. :(

Favorite class or hobby: English and Latin are his favorite classes! Books are still the best thing ever and Felix has read a good deal of the library. He's now focusing on psychology, meditation techniques, and related subjects, for plot reasons below.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: None as yet. Felix is available to be whisked off to exotic locales though!

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Currently, Felix is cooking up plans with Eames and Damon to teach "mental shielding" to the ultra-wealthy and ultra-paranoid, and thereby fund his college education. Also, as soon as he turns 18, Felix will work on establishing his own identity under his own name, which may bring to light his past as an exploited minor.

Finally, Felix would like to acquire a boyfriend, but he's got a lot of issues and zero experience, so this may continue to be a struggle!

Name: Diaval Woods

Age: 18, almost 19 (in January)

Significant Other or Crushes: Dating Sharon, but not exclusively. She understands his part-time-corvid status and that's a rare thing.

Favorite class or hobby: Flying and birding about, probably?

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Home to York for Christmas, but no plans for the rest of the season. He'd like to spend some of it with Sharon, but he may not quite rate family status yet.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Diaval's already at the end of his schooling years but doesn't have much plan for what comes next. Likely, he'll graduate (or just not have reason to keep taking high school classes) in December. He likes to take care of people and be of service, but is terrible at planning for the future. Starting in January, he'll need to find someplace to stay.

Name: Irvine Kinneas

Age: 18 (19 in November)

Significant Other or Crushes: Selphie!! Even if she still doesn't know it yet.

Favorite class or hobby: His favorite thing ever is still shooting and firearms, but he's really liking his agriculture classes at the community college now.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: None so far!

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Becoming a rock star with Mutant Thievery Scandal and convincing Selphie to fall in love with him are pretty much his only major plans. :D

Name: Illyana Rasputin

Age: 16

Significant Other or Crushes:
Dating: Nico
FWB: Pietro
Crushes: Nothing serious. Damon intrigues her. So does Clint's brother. There's a trend >.<.

Favorite class or hobby:
Dance. Also really enjoying doing merchandising for MTS.

Plans for the upcoming holidays:
She doesn't really have any yet, other than probably giving Kitty a lift home to Illinois.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up):

I'd like to do something with the government now knowing their security prisons can be randomly 'ported into (okay not quite but they don't know her limits) by a sixteen year old girl. Not sure what yet, though. Beyond that, she's involved in Nico's power upgrade. If anyone with plots (the more morally questionable, the better) wants her for transportation or body disposal, just let me know!

Name: Doug Ramsey

Age: 17 (18 in December)

Significant Other or Crushes: River Tam.

Favorite class or hobby: Does his internship at Stark count as either/both?

Plans for the upcoming holidays:
He'll likely be going home to Illinois for either Thanksgiving or Christmas, and will probably try to convince River to come along.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up):
Doug would like to start putting his hacking to use and investigating the Facility with Tim. Whether or not he finds something else entirely...well, if anyone wants anything found, I'd be thrilled for him to stumble into it. Beyond that, he should be finishing up his classes at Xavier's in December, though he's not looking to start college until next fall. Do they need a Computer Science TA?

Name: Lu Durgo

Age: 18

Significant Other or Crushes: Lu's come to the conclusion that serious dating is probably more complicated than it's worth at this point. That said, she's still nurturing what she figures are hopeless crushes on a few people.

Favorite class or hobby: World Studies.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Lu will probably be going home to San Diego for the holidays, but nothing's definite.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up):
I'd like to see Lu get involved with X-Statix. Beyond that? Whatever JVX plots arise.

Name: Pietro Django Maximoff

Age: 18

Significant Other or Crushes:
Casually dating: Dorian Pavus

He's open for business, assuming no prior entanglement that'd make it awkward or weird, btw. :D

Favorite class or hobby: He likes his marketing courses right now, amazingly. But then he's always been a good bullshitter.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Home with Wanda, likely!

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): P is about to be in the news with Clint before too long. Gonna be vigilante-ing it up elsewhere too, as things get into motion. Still running SHIFT--anyone interested in their characters writing for the mag, let me know--and gonna be working on a photo project with Sirius.

Favorite class or hobby: She really enjoys her courses on abnormal psych right now, plus her women's studies course. She enjoys talking to the students more than anything.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: She'll have to see what JP wants to do, but she wouldn't mind a trip to the cabin!

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Maybe some Thanksgiving stuff with her friends, and some church activities could be fun, some charity work and all that. Anyone with characters maybe interested, let me know!

Significant Other or Crushes: Scott Summers is pretty much a lock-in, by now. She's... putting the Damon thing behind her.

Favorite class or hobby: Theoretical mathematics will always be her true love. Lydia doesn't so much have hobbies as balls-to-the-wall things she does, but she's looking forward to ice skating season again.

Plans for the upcoming holidays:

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Nothing big planned for Lydia at the moment--she's there, going with the flow, running X-Statix, and kind of loves her life... though she's always reaching for more, obviously :D

Name: Harry Osborn

Age: 16

Dating: Alice Fitzgerald
Randomly fooling around with on occasion: Cindy Ye Xian (with Alice...), Dorian Pavus, Dana Scully, Effy Stonem

Favorite class or hobby: Music.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Drinking alone in his apartment. Maybe with Alice. Maybe Aunt May will invite him over again. Sulking maybe? Drinking--did I mention drinking? Because drinking.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Shit is about to get real for Harry. Following a certain disaster forthcoming from Oscorp (thanks, PETER >.>) and prrrrrobably his dad biting it at last, he's gonna be in a real fucking rush to cure himself. It'll get ugly. It'll take a few months to unfold, but it is on.

Name: Conner Elroy Kent

Age: 17

Significant Other or Crushes: He and Tim are kinda, uh, informally engaged since August, so that's cool >.>

Favorite class or hobby: The garden! Harvest time, baby!

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Hanging out at home, helping his dad with his campaign, chilling out with Tim.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Conner's about to go public as a mutant... probably in a week or two? It'll be in support of Jonathan's run at a seat in the PA state senate, on a platform of SHOOTING DOWN anti-mutant bills popping up. Clark will too.

Name: Toby Daye

Age: 17

Significant Other or Crushes: Going on occasional casual dates with Diaval (are they still doing that, Bun?) and checking out Tybalt's ass. That's about it.

Favorite class or hobby: English

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Unless someone drags her into something, not likely.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up):
Toby, Tybalt, and Scott will be taking a trip to San Francisco to check out reports that kids from Home and the Cats are disappearing under mysterious circumstances. She's going to have a hard time dealing with the results.

She'll also be getting a job. If Damon will buy into her fake id (or pretend to), she might apply at Evolution; otherwise, probably the bookstore in town.

Significant Other or Crushes: ...kinda maybe a little one on Scott?

Favorite class or hobby: N/A just now but it'll totally be drama.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: She doesn't really want to see her mothers right now, so sulking. A lot of sulking.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): She's incoming yo! I'm ready to pre-play some logs with her--I have a few already but I could take one or two more.

Name: Leo Valdez

Age: 14

Significant Other or Crushes: Crushes? What crushes? LEO is now taking applications for members of TEAM LEO, because seriously...

Yeah. Really not. ;) He doesn't really even know anyone yet.

Favorite class or hobby: Computer science

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Hauling stuff back from the nearest dump to see what he can make of it? What? It sounds like a perfectly good plan to him!

Leo's just looking to meet people right now, though Santo's request for a giant robot is causing a few ideas to percolate.

Name: Carlos Santos-Avila

Age: 16

Crushes: Not anyone, yet, at least that they're thinking about. They have a tiny crush on Cecil that they are steadfastly not thinking about. They've also thought several people are attractive, but haven't approached anything about that, either.

Favorite class or hobby: Science, and...science. You can most often find them in the library or lab.

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Carlos and Cecil are making a trip to Night Vale, because Carlos isn't into this 'not understanding what you mean' thing. So that'll be interesting. They'll be spending at least part of Christmas at home with their moms.

Anything you'd like to do with them (or plots coming up): Other than the Night Vale trip, not much! I'm mostly just sticking with trying to develop the couple of friendships they've made. If anyone wants to do something, though, let me know!

Diaval is indeed available for casual dates. :)

Significant Other or Crushes: "Ew, no." -Molly. But puberty will be in full force soon, so this attitude may begin to change.

Class: gym (yeah, tiny jock in the making, here.)

Plans for the upcoming holidays: Nothing. She's going to be even more of a brat
